Regulating Media for Future Democracies: Political and People's Voices
The European research project MeDeMAP – Mapping Media for Future Democracies (HE 101094984) cordially invites you to participate in an in-depth reflection on media, data, and democracy in contemporary Europe.
The seminar "Regulating Media for Future Democracies: Political and People's Voices" will take place on 13 January 2026, from 9:30 to 11:30, at the European Parliament, Brussels, Belgium. This event will gather Members of the European Parliament, national parliamentarians, European Commission officials, policymakers, and media regulators for a high-level discussion on the evolving relationship between media regulation and democratic governance.
Hosted by Slovenian MEP Irena Joveva, the event will examine how Europe can strengthen democratic institutions through fair and transparent media frameworks. Drawing on MeDeMAP's extensive research into political information environments across Europe, participants will engage in critical dialogue on the future of media and democracy.
Registration is open until January 7, 2026 in this link.
